Out again to Fredericks Reef. Tuna overdrive!
In the afternoon we caught more yellowfin and dogtooth. Paul caught a 12kg coral trout. We anchored at the northern end of Saumarez Reef overnight and in the morning the wind was easterly at about 10 kn.

A trip aboard Kanimbla to Fredericks Reef. Pretty poor weather but the best was made of it.
We arrived at Sweetlip Reef within this Swain Reefs complex and fished from 6:30 a.m. till mid day in dories and caught approximately 30 to 40 trout and sweetlip.

A trip aboard Kanimbla to the Swains Reef April 8-15 2006. Pretty average weather but goot fishing non the less.
Tuesday was at Banana Reef in the morning and Horseshoe Reef in the afternoon. It was fairly quiet except for a few dozen mack tuna from Chris, Trevor and Jeff, and a number of sweetlip by Reg and his crew. George landed a sizeable green job fish from Kanimbla. Trevor Nott got fish of the day with an excellent sweetlip. At 11pm that night, Dave Bodman got a lovely red emperor.
